Munchies
Munchies, that sudden hunger that attacks you when you get home late after a couple (or more) drinks, or whilst you are sitting on the sofa watching a film.
They are easy and quick to make, and often include a surprisingly tasty mix of things that you find lying around in the fridge.
Depending on just how "relaxed" you are, certain munchies become less advisable. Using knives and frying oil, when you are extremely "relaxed", is certainly not a good idea.
Scrambled Egg

I had my doubts about including this in "Munchies", but anything that you can make in the time it takes to make toast, should be rightfully included in this section.
The ingredients are simple: 2 pieces of bread, an egg, a knob of butter, some cooked vegetables, and salt and pepper to flavour.
The instructions are even easier:
1)Put the bread in the toaster,
2)Put the vegetables into a frying pan with a knob of butter, and a pinch of salt and pepper, and heat on a medium flame for 2-3 minutes,
3)Put the egg into the pan, then stir it whilst it fries. Make sure you incorporate all of the vegetables into the egg. The egg should be ready in about a minute. It should be moist! Don't over stir, you are not trying to make an omelette.
4)That popping noise is the toast announcing that it is ready, so take it out of the toaster, and put your scrambled egg on top of it!

Sam-izzas

Not a Samosa, but not a pizza either, Sam-izzas are the best of both worlds.
Tasty, filling, cheap, fast, and really easy to make.
Ideal for satisfying the Munchies, or for a snack at any time of the day.

Samosas

A must have munchy.
As tasty, spicy and delicious, as what you decide to fill it with.

10 min. Pizza

Want something to eat, but you've only got the time the adverts last?
Then the 10 min Pizza is just what you're looking for.
Grab a couple of slices of toast, cheese, ham and tomato sauce, and in no time at all you've got a delicious snack ready to eat.
Prawn Toast

This is a real Munchy classic, and something that no freezer should be without.
Really easy to prepare, and even easier to cook.
Fish and chips in ten minutes.

What better way to satisfy the Munchies than fish and chips? Of course, who wants to be bothered with making a tasty batter mix? Well, I'm not going to ask you to!
With a potato, a couple of frozen fillets of hake, and oil to fry the in, in ten minutes you'll have remarkably tasty fish and chips!
Stuffed "Padron" Peppers

These stuffed baby-peppers are perfect for accompanying any sort of alcoholic drinks.
If you can get the "Padron" peppers, even better, as occasionally you'll get the added kick of a really hot/spicy one. There is no way of knowing which ones will kick, but you will certainly know when one does.
Easy to make, very few ingredients, and very tasty. The only down-side is that they are a little bit fiddly to prepare.
Well worth the trouble though!!
INGREDIENTS
"Padron" peppers or baby green peppers;
mascarpone cheese;
cream cheese (Philadelphia);
bacon.

STEPS
1)Cut the rashers of bacon into strips, then fry on a low heat in a dry frying-pan;
(Fry as much bacon as you like, obviously depending on how many peppers you are making.)
2)Mix the cheeses in the ratio of two spoons of mascarpone to one spoon of cream cheese;
(The amount of cheese mix you make will depend on your personal preference. I prefer the cheese to dominate the flavour of the bacon, but if you prefer the bacon to dominate, simply make less cheese mix.)
3)Once the bacon is fried to your liking, add it to the cheese mix and blend well;
4)Cut the tops off the peppers and, with the handle of a tea-spoon, empty out the seeds and the remove the white veins;
5)Fill the peppers with the cheese and bacon filling, then put the tops back onto the peppers;
(you may find that attaching them with tooth-picks is advisable, depending on how liquid your filling is)
6)Arrange the peppers in a baking tray, drizzle a little oil over the top and salt them lightly;
7)Cover the tray with foil and place it in the centre of a pre-heated oven at 180c for 15min;
8)Remove the cover and continue to bake a further 10min, or until the peppers are sufficiently browned, and the skin bubbles;
9)Serve!!
Padron peppers - Padron peppers are not usually difficult to find in most of the large supermarkets, however, if you do find difficulties, any small peppers will do. The big plus with the Padron peppers (from the Galicia regin of Spain, specifically the area around the town of Padron), is that you occasionally find a particularly spicy one, and the uncertainty of not knowing adds to the pleasure of eating them!
