Cheesy-Burgers


When making a cheeseburger you have to decide whether the cheese goes on top of the burger, or the burger on top of the cheese.

Well you can stop stressing yourself over such a vital decision. Make one with the cheese inside the burger!!

By making your own burgers, you can spice them up however you want, adding the herbs, spices, and mixes that you most enjoy.

And by making cheesy-burgers, you can give them the taste of the cheese you most enjoy as well!

Here's a simple version.

Experiment! Have fun! You really can't go wrong!

INGREDIENTS

200-250gr minced-meat of your choice;

approx 50gr of breadcrumbs;

salt, pepper, nutmeg and oregano.

And the egg that I haven't got in the photo.

STEPS

1)Place the minced-meat of your choice, the breadcrumbs, the egg (without the shell), a pinch of salt, pepper and nutmeg, and plenty of oregano.

I prefer to use a mix of beef and pork, but it really does depend on your personal preference. You could even make the burgers with minced duck meat, and fill them with celery and Hoisin sauce instead of cheese.

2)Mix all the ingredients together, kneading until you obtain a reasonably firm ball. If the ball is too moist, simply add more breadcrumbs.

3)Cover with cling-film and place in the fridge for a minimum of 1 hour.

4)Flatten the meat-ball on a sheet of grease-proof paper, then cover it with another sheet, and roll it out with a rolling-pin.

Try to roll the meat out evenly, but don't worry if it's not perfect. The burgers are home-made, what do you expect?

5)Cut the meat into circle using a mould, or anything else circular you want to cut around.

6)Repeat the operation until you have used up all the meat.

7)Place a slice of your favourite cheese in the middle of half of the burgers, then cover them with the remaining halves.

8)GENTLY press the edges of the burgers to seal them.

9)That's it! You can fry them, grill them, eat them with hamburger bread, smother them with sauce, or just serve them with fried egg and chips!

Just enjoy yourself, you can't be on a diet every day, and anyway, YOU DESERVE IT!
