Pizza bowl

The kids don't want to eat salad?

You don't want to wash the dishes?

You just can't resist a delicious snack?

THEN THIS IS FOR YOU!

PIZZA BOWL, filled with salad and nuggets.

If the kid's still don't fancy the salad, you can always fill it with chips !!!!

INGREDIENTS

2 tortillas or wraps,

tomato sauce*,

ham,

grated cheese,

mixed lettuce,

3 or 4 mini tomatoes,

3 nuggets,

olive oil.

*the video on how to make a fast and easy tomato-sauce (pizza topping) is on my "Tricks and Techniques" page.

STEPS

1)Lightly toast the tortillas in a frying pan without oil (about 30 secs each side). The idea is for them to be soft yet toasted. You DO NOT want them too toasted, or they won't mould into shape.

Once toasted, liberally apply a layer of tomato topping on one side of each tortilla, then put the ham and grated cheese on top of one of the tortillas, and place the other on top of it, tomato side down.

Apply pressure to the edges of the tortillas in order to seal them. They seal much easier than you imagine!

2)Turn a baking bowl upside down and place the tortillas/pizza on top of it, pressing down the edges so that it moulds to the shape of the bowl.

Put the bowl in the centre of a preheated oven at 180°c for 10 - 12 minutes, or until well toasted.

Whilst the pizza cooks, slice the tomatoes and prepare the salad, then fry the nuggets.

3)Once toasted, take the bowl out of the oven and remove the pizza. The pizza should slide easily off the bowl, and should maintain it's shape perfectly.

Turn the pizza bowl over, place the salad and the nuggets inside it, drizzle a little olive oil and salt* over the top, and SERVE !!!

*Substituting the salt with poppy seeds adds a deliciously subtle touch to your salad.
